Found that the thermostat wiring needed to be reconfigured on the nest to be able to detect the proper wiring. Tested heating and cooling after reconfiguring thermostat, both came on when called for. Heating and cooling are working. Tested gas line for grill for leaks, none were found and there should be no issues installing grill onto the line.
